VCN - According to the results of the recent review period of regulations on management policies for imports and exports organized by the General Department of Customs, currently, the administrative procedures and management policies which are adjusted relating to imports and exports include 242 procedures.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, Deputy Director of Customs Control and Supervision Department, said that the review for policies relating to specialized management has been carried out by the General Department of Vietnam Customs during the recent times. Especially in the past four years, since the implementation of the Government's guidance in Decision 2026/QD-TTg approving the Project on solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of specialized inspections for exports and imports and Government’s Resolution 19/NQ-CP.

It can be seen that the review of administrative procedures, management policies with imports-exports plays an important role in administrative procedure reform. Through the review, the Customs proposed the Government to instruct the relevant ministries and sectors to amend many administrative procedures toward a simpler and facilitate the exports and imports and clearance goods.

Recently, the General Department of Vietnam Customs organized a centralized review period to review regulations on management policies for exports and imports. At the end of the review period, the review team completed the collection the adjusted administrative procedures, management policies for imports and exports including 242 administrative procedures and management policies.

In order to complete the encryption of management policies for imports-exports and unify information on license from the National Single Window Portal to the VNACCS/VCIS, and ensure full compliance with State management requirements for imports- exports subject to specialized management and inspection. In the coming time, 242 administrative procedures and policies will be encrypted to integrate into the VNACCS/VCIS by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The encryption must ensure compatibility with the procedures implemented on the National Single Window Portal and the criteria, requirements of the VNACCS/VCIS to unify the licensing information from National Single Window Portal to VNACCS/VCIS.

At the same time, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will review and apply HS code to the list of commodities and commodities adjusted by the procedures and policies. Each list must identify all the names of goods with HS code in accordance with the current list of export and exports. Finally, each commodity line with HS code will accompany by one or more relevant "policy codes" or "procedural codes".
