Highlight on documents posted on e-customs Portal in the 2nd week of Jan. 2018

Summary

During the week from 08 to 12 Jan 2018, the e-Customs Portal updated some new documents on export and import policies; classification of goods; C/O handling through the ASEAN single window; supporting activities for pilot implementation of automatic cargo control system at international seaports and airports.

On 05 Jan 2018, the General Department of Customs sent to the local Customs Departments the official Letter no.78/TCHQ-GSQL, guiding e-C/O form D handling through the ASEAN Single Window. Accordingly, the General Department of Customs shall request the local Customs Departments to receive and check e-C/O form D granted from 01 January 2018  in accordance with the guidance in the above mentioned documents.

Regarding to the pilot implementation of automatic cargo control system at international seaports and airports, the General Department of Customs issued the official Letter no. 85/TCHQ-GSQL dated 05 January 2018. Accordingly, from 02 Jan 2018, the pilot application of automatic cargo control system at international seaports and airports shall be piloted by the Ho Chi Minh Customs Department, Ba Ria Vung Tau Customs Department. During the pilot implementation period, any problems shall be reported to the General Department of Customs (through the Customs Control and Supervision Department) for guidance and settlement.

On 09 Jan 2018, the General Department of Customs issued the official letter 126 /TCHQ-GSQL on strict control of transit food shipments contaminated with Salmonella Agona. Accordingly, the General Department of Customs requests the local Customs Departments to direct their sub-departments to intensify the customs inspection and supervision of products (including: CELI MAMA 400G X 12, NEUTRO PROTECTION, CELI AD 350G X 12 AVEC LACT NEUTRE PROMAT) manufactured by Lactalis Group. 

Some other documents updated in the e-Customs Portal include: the official Letter no.161/TCHQ-GSQL dated 11 Jan 2018 on recognition on the activities of bonded warehouses  of Hoa Phong Co., Ltd. at Plot F4, Dong Pho Moi industrial zone, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province; the official Letter no.154/TCHQ-TXNK dated 10 Jan 2018 on classification of commodity IQF freezing machine; the official Letter 164/TCHQ-TXNK dated 11 Jan 2018 on the classification of  water bath; the official letter no .180/TCHQ-TXNK dated 12 Jan 2018 on classification of goods.
