Import and export procedures for radioactive substance connected via National Single Window

The Ministry of Science and Technology is preparing to connect 2 new administrative procedures via National Single Window, focusing on the management of radioactive substances

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, implementing the plan of National Steering Committee for ASEAN Single Window and National Single Window, and Trade facilitation, in 2018, the Ministry must connect 5 more administrative procedures to National Single Window, including: Procedure for license of radiation operation for exports of radioactive substance; Procedure for license of radiation operation for exports of Nuclear source material, Nuclear material and Nuclear equipment; Procedure for license of radiation operation for radioactive substance imports; Procedure for license of radiation operation for imports of Nuclear source material, Nuclear material and Nuclear equipment; Procedure for license of radiation operation for transit of radioactive substance, radioactive waste, Nuclear source material and Nuclear material.

However, after reviewing, the Ministry of Science and Technology proposed that only the two procedures including Procedure for license of radiation operation for exports of radioactive substance and Procedure for license of radiation operation for imports of radioactive substance would be connected.

Currently, the Ministry of Science and Technology has deployed 4 administrative procedures via National Single Window related to quality measurement. Total of 354 dossiers were handled.

The Ministry of Science and Technology said that in the implementation of National Single Window, the Ministry was actively assisted by the General Department of Vietnam Customs- the Standing agency of the National Steering Committee on ASEAN National Single Window, National Single Window and Trade facilitation. At the same time, the implementation of National Single Window played an important role in the administrative procedure reform under its management.
