Procedures for inspecting discarded materials imported from abroad into Vietnam
This is the content guided in Official Letter 4202 / TCHQ-PC on the management of discarded materials imported from abroad into Vietnam.
Accordingly, the Customs Sub-Departments where the declarations are registered must check the validity of, and compare information on, relevant papers upon the import of discarded materials from abroad into Vietnam, concretely:

- The written certification of satisfaction of environmental protection conditions in the import of discarded materials for use as raw materials for production;

- A written notice on the import lot of scraps;

- A written certification of the margin for import of discarded materials according to regulations;

- Written document certifying the conformity of environmental technical standards to imported goods lot;

- Checking, comparing and comparing import data of enterprises' scraps on customs dossiers with information on relevant papers.
