A report on safety assessment with the following information: Capacity analysis of organizations and individuals that receive or possess the radiation sources, conditions of export, import, transportation and storage; certificate of radiation sources issued by the manufacturer and the competent authority of the country of origin, guidance documentation for the use and maintenance of radiation sources (for open radioactive source or sealed radioactive source with a half-life period of less than 6 months, this certificate is not required when applying for import but it must be submitted to the competent authority after beeing imported); contract entrusting the import/export (if any), attached with a copy of the business license of the facility providing the service of export/import.

Attached with a Dossier of application for licensing of radiation jobs for the person in charge of safety work (a copy of the certificate of the person in charge of safety work is required if he/she already has been granted one such certificate)

Process Steps
Step 1
|
The entity or individual that exports/imports radioactive substances shall submit a dossier to the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department.
|
Step 2
|
The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department shall appraise the dossier and conduct assessment work:
+ If the dossier is assessed to be eligible under applicable regulations, the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department shall grant the license to conduct radiation jobs (export/import of radioactive materials).
+ If the license is not to be granted, the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department shall answer in writing and clearly state relevant reasons.
