According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, after the conference of promoting NSW, ASW and trade facilitation (24/7/2018) chaired by the Prime Minister, the implementation of NSW and specialized inspection of the Ministry and authorities have made remarkable changes and achieved positive results.
Ministries and agencies have been more active in coordinating with the Permanent Office in the process of reviewing and unifying business processes, information indicators, software development and network connections to officially deploy new administration procedures on NSW.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance has actively implemented the role of the Permanent Office in coordinating and urging ministries, sectors in the implementation of NSW, ASW.
Updating to the end of 8/11/2018, 11 ministries have deployed 130 administrative procedures in NSW. Notably, there are 77 administrative procedures that have been newly connected after July 2018.
The NSW system handles more than 1.6 million dossiers of more than 24,900 enterprises.
On the implementation of the ASEAN Single Window (ASW), ASW was officially launched on 1/1/2018 with the connection and exchange of electronic C/O with 4 countries in the region (Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia).
As of 31/10/2018, the total number of C/Os that Vietnam received from the four ASEAN countries was 48,950; Total number of C/Os Vietnam sent to other countries was 81,101.
On the implementation of the Action Plan issued with the Decision No. 1254/QĐ-TTg dated 26/9/2018 of the Prime Minister, according to the Permanent Office, the Government's action plan set out the target from 7/2018 to 12/2018, 138 administrative procedures have to be newly connected to the NSW.
However, based on the work results and implementation situation of ministries and sectors, by the end of 2018, the Ministry of Finance and other ministries will strive to deploy more for connecting 121 procedures (currently already connected for 77 procedures).
Therefore, it is expected that by the end of 2018, 88% (121/138) will be completed compared to the targets stated in the Decision No. 1254/QD-TTg dated 26/9/2018 of the Prime Minister. With 17 remaining procedures under preparation, it is unlikely to be completed in 2018, but it will be implemented early on in 2019.
