This Decree deals with the violations, penalties, remedial measures, and authority to impose penalties for administrative violations against the laws on scientific activities and technology transfers

Administrative violations against the laws on scientific activities and technology transfers in this Decree are errors committed by organizations and individuals that violate the laws on state management of scientific activities and technology transfers, which do not constitute a criminal offence, which must incur administrative penalties.

This Decree takes effect on August 15, 2013.

The Government's Decree No. 127/2004/ND-CP dated May 31, 2004 on penalties for administrative violations against the laws on scientific activities, the Government's Decree No. 49/2009/ND-CP dated May 21, 2009 on penalties for administrative violations committed in technology transfers, Clause 3 and Clause 4 of Article 28 of the Government's Decree No. 84/2006/ND-CP dated August 18, 2006 on compensation, disciplinary actions, and penalties for administrative violations in thrift practice against extravagance are annulled from the effective date of this Decree.
