Scope

1. This Decree prescribes acts of administrative violation, sanctioning forms, sanctioning levels and remedial measures for acts of administrative violation, sanctioning competence and competence to make micro-records. Administrative violations in the field of meteorology, meteorology and mapping.

2. Acts of administrative violation in the field of meteorology and hydrology include: Violations of the regulations on hydro-meteorological operation licenses; violation of regulations on forecasting tropical depressions, storms and floods; violate regulations on provision of reservoir operation information for hydro-meteorological forecasting agencies; violating regulations on exploitation and protection of meteorological and hydrological works; violate regulations on provision and use of basic hydro-meteorological archives.

3. Acts of administrative violation in the field of geodesy and cartography, including: Violations of regulations on permits for geodesic and cartographic activities; violating regulations on management, protection and use of measuring works; fake measurement data; violating regulations on quality control of surveyed and mapped works and products; violation of regulations on reporting on geodesic and cartographic activities; violation of regulations on inspection of observance of the law on measurement and mapping; violating regulations on the supply, exploitation, use and international exchange of geodesic and cartographic information, materials and data.

4. Administrative violations related to the meteorology, metrology and mapping domains, which are not provided for in this Decree, shall comply with the provisions of other Government's Decrees on sanctioning. Administrative violations in the field of relevant state management to sanction.

This Decree takes effect from January 1, 2014.

2. This Decree replaces the following Decrees:

a) Decree  61/2008/ND-CP dated May 9, 2008 of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of meteorology and hydrology;

b) Decree  30/2005/ND-CP dated March 11, 2005 of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in geodesic and cartographic activities.
