A penalty of up to 1 billion VND for individuals who act in the fishery field
This is the highlight in Decree 42/2019/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of fisheries.
Accordingly, the maximum fine level for administrative violations of individuals increases from VND 100,000,000 to VND 1,000,000,000.

In case the organization has the same violation acts as the individual, the fine level is equal to twice the fine level for the individual.

In addition, the Decree also stipulates the statute of limitations for sanctioning administrative violations in the field of fisheries is one year.

In case of administrative violations in the production, sale, export and import of fishing ships, aquatic breeds, aquatic feeds, aquaculture treatment products and protection of aquatic resources, the statute of limitations Administrative penalty is two years.

Decree 42/2019 / ND-CP takes effect from July 5, 2019 and replaces Decree 103/2013/ND-CP dated September 12, 2013.
