Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision 2314 / QD-BCT on the plan to reduce procedures and list of goods (accompanied by HS code) to carry out specialized inspection under the management responsibility of the Ministry.

Accordingly, the criteria for procedural reductions and lists of goods subject to specialized inspection are as follows:

- Goods are input materials or intermediary products, imported semi-finished products for food production establishments based on the assessment and analysis of risks to food safety.

- Goods are products, equipment and machinery that have other management measures to ensure the state management purposes and may replace the implementation of specialized inspection in customs clearance procedures.

- Goods are products, equipment and machinery without technical standards or national technical regulations when conducting specialized inspection in customs clearance procedures.

Decision 2314 / QD-BCT takes effect from July 31, 2019.
