Enterprises self-announce imported salt products

On December 27, 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 39/2018 / TT-BNNPTNT guiding the inspection of quality, safety of imported salt foods under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Rural development.

Accordingly, the enterprise will announce products for imported salt by itself. The product self-declaration must meet the following requirements:

Firstly, for importing food salt (table salt): Self-declaration of product in accordance with national technical regulation QCVN 9-1: 2011 / BYT.

Secondly, for importing refined salt, the product self-declaration conforms to national standard TCVN 9639-2013 and national technical regulation QCVN 8-2: 2011 / BYT.

The inspection agency shall base itself on the product self-declaration and the certification and expertise results of the certification organization and the inspection organization to decide whether or not to import.
