On January 22, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 03/2020 / TT-BCT regulating the import of raw tobacco according to tariff quotas under the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. .
Accordingly, adjusting the import of raw tobacco (HS code 24.01) according to the tariff quotas committed in the CPTPP, specifically:

The annual quota of raw material tobacco import quotas is as follows: 525 tons (2020); 550 tons (in 2021); 575 tons (in 2022); 600 tons (in 2023); 625 tons (in 2024); 650 tons (in 2025); ... 950 tons (in 2037); 975 tons (in 2038).

The quota of imported tobacco raw materials under the CPTPP Agreement is not included in the quota of imported tobacco raw materials according to Vietnam's commitment when joining the World Trade Organization WTO granted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. announced annually.

This Circular takes effect from February 29, 2020.
