One of the outstanding applications is E-Declaration. Together with the quick development of the country’s economy, the workload of the customs sector is increasing quickly.

Accordingly, the import and export turnover, revenue from import and export duties and the number of import and export declarations annually rise 23%, 9.2% and 22% on average respectively.

Meanwhile, the number of customs officers must be cut under Resolution 39 of the Ministry of Politburo. In the last five years, the number of customs officers reduced by 1.5% to 1.7%.

However, thanks to IT, the customs declaration of businesses has been conducted conveniently, continuously and quickly. Thus, IT has become an important tool for the Customs sector to succeed in set political tasks.

So far, 100% of key customs procedures have been automated, 100% of customs departments and branches have launched e-customs procedures with 99.65% of businesses.

Therefore, the customs declaration and receiving and handling of information and decision on customs clearance are automated; and the time to settle one customs dossier is from one to three seconds.
