According to the GDVC, the Customs sector has studied the customs control model at Inchon International Airport (South Korea), Changji International Airport (Singapore) and experience at Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

On that basis, the country’s top customs regulator has developed the customs procedures related to Customs control at the airport towards digital transformation, model of digital customs, smart customs to arrange procedures, working sites and customs monitoring equipment such as scanners, camera systems and baggage tracking devices.

On June 16, the GDVC issued Official Letter 2345/TCHQ-GSQL to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to issue official requirements for customs control at the Long Thanh International Airport Project.

In addition, the GDVC’s departments have developed the organizational model and determined the positions and tasks of officers of the airport customs branch and the Express Delivery Customs Branch.

Long Thanh International Airport is in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai province, and is designed to have a capacity of 100 million passengers and five million tons of cargo/year.
