Process Steps
Step 1
 
When importing aquatic animals or aquatic products for non-commercial purposes, the commodity owner shall register import quarantine with the animal quarantine agency at the border gate.
Step 2
The animal quarantine agency shall check the quarantine dossier
Step 3
Check the actual conditions of commodities; enclosed raising conditions of aquatic animals or the packaging and preservation of aquatic products
Step 4
If detecting an aquatic animal species not on the list of common aquatic animal species permitted for import, sick aquatic animals, aquatic products showing signs of decay, the animal quarantine agency shall dispose of or return them to the exporting country
If, through checking, aquatic animals are healthy and kept according to regulations; aquatic products meet all veterinary hygiene requirements and properly packaged and preserved, the animal quarantine agency shall issue a health certificate for the imported products
