Businesses expressed interest in the customs modernization plan, digital transformation, and the single-window mechanism in the coming period, which are linked to the key directives of the Vietnamese Government to develop trade and investment, combat smuggling and trade fraud, and origin fraud. They also mentioned recommendations to address policy obstacles in specialized management when carrying out customs procedures.

Acknowledging the Council's feedback, Viet Nam Customs provided information and updates on the progress of building a digital customs system and strengthening the implementation of the national single window mechanism as a foundation for changing customs management processes, facilitating trade while improving risk management efficiency and controlling illegal trade. In addition, the Customs Department noted the recommendations arising from practical difficulties and requested the Business Council to support and contribute opinions in the process of developing proposals for adjusting relevant regulations and specialized management.

Finally, the leader of the Department of Customs affirmed his commitment to maintaining dialogue to jointly find the most effective solutions to ensure the interests of businesses as well as guarantee customs management, and promote the achievement of common goals and priorities.
