Circular No.16/1998/TT-BYT provides guidance for the import, management, and use of ambulances.
Specifically, the import, trading, and use of ambulances must strictly abide by the laws and regulations by the Ministry of Health.
According to the Circular, hospitals, institutes with sick beds, emergency centers and stations, units under the Ministry of Health, Departments of Health, etc. and some special cases are eligible for the use of ambulances.
Additionally, the Circular also regulates the import, transfer, trading, and liquidation of this vehicle.
This Circular comes into effect 15 days after it is published on the Official Gazette and replaces Circular No. 19/BYT-TT dated November 12, 1994 of the Health Minister on “Regulations on management and use of ambulances.”
