Decision No. 4680/QD-BNN-BVTV says that Vietnam shall suspend the import of wheat (Triticum) from Ukraine.

According to the Decision, the grain weevil (Sitophilusgranarius Linnaeus) found in grain is considered the reason for this suspension.

Particularly, the Plant Protection Department under the MARD is assigned to strictly supervise imported batches of wheat during the time the decision has yet to take effect and inform Ukraine’s authorized plant quarantine agency for taking proper corrective measures.

The Decision shall enter into force 60 days as of its signing date.
