According to the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA), an authorised economic operator (AEO) is defined as a “party involved in the international movement of goods in any function that has been approved by the customs authorities as complying with statutory and/or regulatory requirements of Member States, taking into account supply chain security standards”.
