Decree No. 58/2016/ND-CP elaborates the sale and provision of civil cryptography products and services and the import/export of civil cryptography products.

It promulgates the list of civil cryptography products and services (Appendix I) and the list of civil cryptography products exported and imported under license (Appendix II).

In addition, this Decree also prescribes in details the requirements for licensing for trading in civil cryptography products and services and handling violations of regulations on trading of civil cryptography products and services

This Decree becomes effective since July 01, 2016 and replaces Decree No.73/2007/ND-CP dated May 8, 2007 on the research, manufacture, sale and use of cryptographic items for securing information not deemed as governmental secrets.
