Decision 686/QD-BNN-TY is issued to suspend the imports of poultry and poultry products from the US states of Wisconsin and Tennessee which have been affected by a strain of low pathogenic H5N2 and the high-pathogenic H7 avian influenza virus.

The Department of Animal Health is requested to tighten control of shipments of poultry and poultry products that have not been heat-treated from avian influenza affected states but have been carried aboard ships and aircraft for transportation from the United States to Vietnam prior to March 10, 2017.

This Decision comes into force from the date on which it is signed.
