Stop loading and unloading for refrigerated containers at Cat Lai Port

From 7 a.m on 1 January 2019, Saigon Newport Corporation will stop the service of loading and unloading for containers of frozen products at Cat Lai Port and will implement these services at Tan Cang- My Thuy Depot.

Stop loading and unloading for refrigerated containers at Cat Lai Port

According to information from Saigon Newport Corporation, in order to improve capacity and modernization at Cat Lai port to meet rising demand in 2019 and in the following years, Sai Gon New Port Corporation continues to expand Cat Lai Port and increase means, facilities and takes many measures such as for empty-containers, and the service for loading and unloading of dry and refrigerated containers and auxiliary services will be transferred to other ports to maintain the service quality at this port.

At the same time, from 1 January 2019, Saigon Newport Corporation will stop the service for loading and unloading of frozen products at Cat Lai Port and only implement the service for combined refrigerated containers and containers that need to be inspected as the Customs require.

In order to meet customers’ demand for loading and unloading for refrigerated containers, Saigon Newport Corporation will deploy this service at Tan Cang - My Thuy depot. These containers must be cleared at the port of discharge.
