New regulations on level 5 emissions for cars
On April 6, 2021, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 06/2021 / TT-BGTVT national technical regulations on level 5 emissions for new manufactured, assembled and imported cars.
Accordingly, the national technical regulation QCVN 109: 2021 / BGTVT applies to the following subjects:
- Manufacturing and assembling establishments or organizations and individuals importing cars.
- Agencies, organizations and individuals involved in the testing and certification of technical quality, safety and environmental protection for cars.
The types of cars applied in this Regulation include cars with at least four wheels, classified as low-standard-volume cars, and high-standard-volume cars explained at the points. 4.1 and 4.2 Article 4 Part I Regulations.
Note: This regulation does not apply to the following types of cars:
- Cars designed and engineered to run on all types of terrain and roads that are not part of the road traffic system.
- Electric cars (cars that use electricity only as a driving force).
Circular 06/2021 / TT-BGTVT takes effect from 01/01/2022.
